Cruise the Mississippi aboard the Blue Heron, a 26-passenger pontoon boat that gives cruisers an up-close and personal look at the Mississippi River. It’s a fun way for people to talk, laugh and celebrate nature together. A naturalist will conduct tours through backwaters, sloughs and the main channel. Fish, wildlife & bird habitat, hunting, fishing, recreational boating, gravel pits, barge traffic, endangered species and water quality are all part of the ecological puzzle of the river. Clinton County Conservation offers public Sunset Cruises Thursday evenings out of Rock Creek Marina & Campground May to October. Public cruises are free of charge, but space is limited and reservations are required. Please call 563-259-1876 to make your reservation.
Please note that start time for regular cruises moves up to 6:00 pm for Sep, & 5:00 pm for Oct. The evening of Sep 20 will include both a regular 6:00 pm cruise and special 7:30 pm “Harvest Moon & Music Cruise.”
Sep 20; “Harvest Moon and Music Cruise,” 7:30 pm at Rock Creek. It’s the last music cruise of the year. They will  run out to the channel, cut the engines and drift along under the full moon while local musicians and vocalist fill the air with their music. Call 563-259-1876 to reserve your seat.
